American Music Awards Performance

All I can say is OMG! The guys were absolutely fabulous tonight. I love the way they did a medley by starting and finishing with two of their best new songs and putting a few of their greatest old ones in the middle. The crowd was really getting into it. This is what I have been waiting for. I wanted the rest of the music industry to see what these guys have been up to and give them their due respect! You can check out their performance on this You Tube video.

Funny Jon Interviewed by Donnie

I just saw this post on a forum and thought it was funny. Check out Donnie interviewing Jon. This is typical of 'razzing that he endures from the guys on a regular basis.

BIG SURPRISE PLANNED!

O.K. everyone, there is a big surprise planned for the last U.S. concert, being held at the Nokia theatre in L.A.

A group of enthusiastic fans have decided to surprise one of the guys with a special serenade during the concert. It is supposed to be top secret, but if you want information about it, you can message me or visit the NKOTB website. Go to forums and search under memorabilia.

I wish I was going to be there to help with the surprise. I guess I'll just have to watch for it on YouTube!

Leave Jon Alone!

You all have GOT to see this video spoof of the "Leave Brittany Alone" Youtube video Joey Mac made about Jon. It is hilarious! I guess you have to learn to have a sense of humor when you deal with the kind of things they have to deal with on a daily basis. We dig it, guys!

Comeback kids: Oshkosh area NKOTB fans enjoy a bit of reminiscing

"Her childhood bedroom was a shrine to the worldwide late 1980s/early ’90s obsession-turned guilty pleasure. Bed sheets, a sleeping bag, the board game, dolls, posters and buttons – Kelly Nelson had anything and everything that New Kids on the Block gave their names, faces or likeness."Read More on this article from the Northwestern by Sarah Owen.

A Good Review

Well, I found this remarkably positive revue on the guy's concert at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The critic shares their favorable experience at the Reunion concert by referring to the NKOTB as still having "good, if not better voices" than they did back in the day. There are compliments to Danny's break dancing, Jordan's falsetto, Joe's rendition of "Please, Don't Go Girl", and Donnie's gangster with a soft heart persona.

The title of the article is "New Kids are serious about nostalgia trip". I guess that is what's at the heart of this whole reunion tour for us fans. It provides us with an opportunity to relive one of the best times of our lives. When we were teenagers we couldn't wait to grow up. I know I always counted the years it would take before Jordan and my age wouldn't be so far apart. Twenty and twenty-eight, or maybe twenty-three and thirty-one. Well, now we are all at the age where the difference is irrelevant. We have an opportunity to live out our childhood dreams. I can't count how many times I fell asleep fantasizing about being old enough to be taken seriously by the guys.

Most of us realize that we will probably never have anything more than a fan/musician relationship, but the possibility exists, no matter how slight. That is what makes this tour magical for the fans, at least for this one.

Blogging like Crazy

Well, it looks like the guys have been blogging quite a bit lately, especially Jon. I find it very interesting since it gives us a peek into his personality. Jon is usually so reserved and shy, but his writing seems like a place where he can express himself. Keep on writing Jon, because I love reading what you have to say.

One of his latest posts explains his anger about fans gone crazy on the freeway. Apparently, there have been some fans that think it is appropriate to drive up on the tour buses and try to take pictures or get the buses to pull over. Like that is really going to happen. Anyways, because of the spuratic driving of one fan, the driver of Jonathan's and Jordan's bus almost lost control. I wish people would grow up. The reunion has allowed us to be thirteen again, in our hearts, but our minds are still that of thirty-something women. We need to show our maturity and respect the lives of those we are so devoted to.

If it is meant for you to meet one of the guys, it will happen as it is supposed to. You can't force fate. Please, use common sense when in the presence of the guys. It would be awful if a few crazy fans ruined it for the rest of us.

Star Tribune Article

The guys are still going strong. However, from word of mouth from fans at recent shows, it seems like the guys might be suffering from a bit of burn out. I don't think it will slow them down much, though. They are older but they are in awesome shape and I know each time they meet a new fan or hear the shreiks and yells from a roaring crowd that any exhaustion or stress melts away. Atleast, that's what I like to think. I'm still waiting for my "Face Time", so hopefully they get all the bugs worked out before next summer.

Summer 2009 Tour Confirmed!

I can't believe my little ears, er, should I say eyes! I may finally get my face time in the U.S. instead of having to travel to Europe and spend a ton of money in order to get my face time. I will be the first person to buy a 5*VIP ticket when they go on sale. Well, atleast one of the first. I think I will try to catch a couple concerts since I was deprived this fall. Hopefully, I can earn enough revenue from my writing gigs to justify the expense, but if not.............I'll still be going.

Missing the VIP Concert in Milwaukee

I have been excited for the last five months, looking forward to attending the October 22nd NKOTB concert in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, I could not attend because one of the websites I write for invited me to Santa Monica for the fist ever weHow User Event. You can view my NKOTB article on eHow.

I was able to sell my 2 VIP tickets to a sweet lady from Illinois. She even said she would try to get Donnie to sign my cd case. She was able to meet him, get her picture taken with him, but sadly, she couldn't get him to sign my cd.

Although I am extremely jealous that she was able to go and I wasn't, I am happy that a true fan was able to have that experience because of me. I have heard that the guys are planning an 09' tour, so you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be catching as many concerts as I can afford!

I know I will get my face time and it will be well worth the wait!

Their First Tour City

Well, the guys finished up their first concert of the Reunion tour. I have stayed up 4 hours past my usual bedtime in order to soak up any and all information regarding what happened at the show, how close VIPs actually got to the guys, and if you could take pictures with your own camera.

Needless to say, I am even more excited than I previously imagined. I heard of Donnie giving lip action to some lucky fan or fans, Jordan had his shirt off (phew),april wipes the sweat from her teeth, and that fans were, indeed, allowed to take really great pictures with their own cameras backstage. YIPEEEEEEE!

I haven't made many posts since I began this blog, but I intend to speak daily, or atleast every other day, as my excitement builds.

If I had the extra dough and a babysitter, I would definately get tickets for the October 4th date in Chicago. I've waited twenty years for this moment, I don't want to wait any longer than I have to.

Six Pack

Well, considering that the NKOTB concert is not until October 22, I have five months, or twenty weeks to work on toning up my body. I bought a trampoline for my daughter for her birthday. You would not believe the workout you can get on that thing, and it's actually fun. If you crank the Hangin' Tough CD and bounce to the "Oh - Oh - Ohs" you barely notice the pain radiating from your exhausted muscles.

I haven't had Mountain Dew in a week and, surprisingly, no headaches. At this rate, I'll have a six pack in no time, HAHAHA. You do realize that Donnie and Danny are single, don't you? Granted, I am sorry that their marriages didn't work out, but now is now and you never know. (rantings of a delusional fan)

Anyways, even if I only get a hug from them, I'll still be lookin' good when the "right one" actually comes around.

It's been a while

Well, it's definately been a while. The last time NKOTB appeared together I was learning how to drive. Now, here I am, thirty years old with two kids and a career. I had a glimpse back memory lane a couple of years ago when I discovered Jordan Knight was touring solo. I bought tickets for me and my two closest friends to attend a concert in Madison, Wisconsin. I thought it would be fun to fulfill one of my greatest childhood dreams, to meet Jordan Knight.

I could not have imagined just how wonderful it would be or how many emotions would come flooding back. I actually had tears in my eyes when he sang "I'll be loving you (forever)". I fell asleep to that song countless nights, pretending he was actually singing to me. Well, in November of that year, he actually did, kind of.

It was a very small venue and I was right up to the stage. I was close enough to touch him........so I did. Even though it was only a few seconds, it felt like time stood still in that moment. It was an accumulation of years of built up frustration, fantasy, and unfulfilled dreams, all coming to fruition in a single event.

Alright, maybe I am being a bit overdramatic. However, that one night was the most fulfilling experience of my life, save the birth of my children and their following milestones.

That is why, on May 30th, 2008, when I discovered that the NKOTB were reuniting and going on tour, I immediately regressed to a thirteen year old girl, but one with a credit card and access to the internet. I bought two 5 star VIP tickets to see all five of the NKOTB Men in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Bradley Center on October 22.

For the next five months, I get to be thirteen again!
