American Music Awards Performance

All I can say is OMG! The guys were absolutely fabulous tonight. I love the way they did a medley by starting and finishing with two of their best new songs and putting a few of their greatest old ones in the middle. The crowd was really getting into it. This is what I have been waiting for. I wanted the rest of the music industry to see what these guys have been up to and give them their due respect! You can check out their performance on this You Tube video.

Funny Jon Interviewed by Donnie

I just saw this post on a forum and thought it was funny. Check out Donnie interviewing Jon. This is typical of 'razzing that he endures from the guys on a regular basis.

BIG SURPRISE PLANNED!

O.K. everyone, there is a big surprise planned for the last U.S. concert, being held at the Nokia theatre in L.A.

A group of enthusiastic fans have decided to surprise one of the guys with a special serenade during the concert. It is supposed to be top secret, but if you want information about it, you can message me or visit the NKOTB website. Go to forums and search under memorabilia.

I wish I was going to be there to help with the surprise. I guess I'll just have to watch for it on YouTube!

Leave Jon Alone!

You all have GOT to see this video spoof of the "Leave Brittany Alone" Youtube video Joey Mac made about Jon. It is hilarious! I guess you have to learn to have a sense of humor when you deal with the kind of things they have to deal with on a daily basis. We dig it, guys!

Comeback kids: Oshkosh area NKOTB fans enjoy a bit of reminiscing

"Her childhood bedroom was a shrine to the worldwide late 1980s/early ’90s obsession-turned guilty pleasure. Bed sheets, a sleeping bag, the board game, dolls, posters and buttons – Kelly Nelson had anything and everything that New Kids on the Block gave their names, faces or likeness."Read More on this article from the Northwestern by Sarah Owen.

A Good Review

Well, I found this remarkably positive revue on the guy's concert at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The critic shares their favorable experience at the Reunion concert by referring to the NKOTB as still having "good, if not better voices" than they did back in the day. There are compliments to Danny's break dancing, Jordan's falsetto, Joe's rendition of "Please, Don't Go Girl", and Donnie's gangster with a soft heart persona.

The title of the article is "New Kids are serious about nostalgia trip". I guess that is what's at the heart of this whole reunion tour for us fans. It provides us with an opportunity to relive one of the best times of our lives. When we were teenagers we couldn't wait to grow up. I know I always counted the years it would take before Jordan and my age wouldn't be so far apart. Twenty and twenty-eight, or maybe twenty-three and thirty-one. Well, now we are all at the age where the difference is irrelevant. We have an opportunity to live out our childhood dreams. I can't count how many times I fell asleep fantasizing about being old enough to be taken seriously by the guys.

Most of us realize that we will probably never have anything more than a fan/musician relationship, but the possibility exists, no matter how slight. That is what makes this tour magical for the fans, at least for this one.

Blogging like Crazy

Well, it looks like the guys have been blogging quite a bit lately, especially Jon. I find it very interesting since it gives us a peek into his personality. Jon is usually so reserved and shy, but his writing seems like a place where he can express himself. Keep on writing Jon, because I love reading what you have to say.

One of his latest posts explains his anger about fans gone crazy on the freeway. Apparently, there have been some fans that think it is appropriate to drive up on the tour buses and try to take pictures or get the buses to pull over. Like that is really going to happen. Anyways, because of the spuratic driving of one fan, the driver of Jonathan's and Jordan's bus almost lost control. I wish people would grow up. The reunion has allowed us to be thirteen again, in our hearts, but our minds are still that of thirty-something women. We need to show our maturity and respect the lives of those we are so devoted to.

If it is meant for you to meet one of the guys, it will happen as it is supposed to. You can't force fate. Please, use common sense when in the presence of the guys. It would be awful if a few crazy fans ruined it for the rest of us.

Star Tribune Article

The guys are still going strong. However, from word of mouth from fans at recent shows, it seems like the guys might be suffering from a bit of burn out. I don't think it will slow them down much, though. They are older but they are in awesome shape and I know each time they meet a new fan or hear the shreiks and yells from a roaring crowd that any exhaustion or stress melts away. Atleast, that's what I like to think. I'm still waiting for my "Face Time", so hopefully they get all the bugs worked out before next summer.
